REFLECTION: 

So here’s my reflection/analysis towards the horizon report from 2014-2017 with National Agenda.

The objective of Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 is to achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2020 which means that to increase both access to and the quality of higher education in Malaysia. Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education), which aims to transform Malaysia’s higher education system.

In conjunction with to transform Malaysia’s higher education system so there are a 10 Shifts underpin this Blueprint.

10 Shifts

 

The first four focus on outcomes for key stakeholders in the higher education systems, including students in academic and TVET pathways, the academic community, as well as Malaysians participating in lifelong learning. The other six focus on enablers for the higher education ecosystem, covering critical components such as funding.

In line to produce balanced and holistic graduates with entrepreneurial mindsets, nurture ‘job creators’ rather than just ‘job seekers’, place technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programmes on par with traditional academic offerings, and make lifelong learning part of the nation’s culture. Which promote the sustainable development golds (SDGs) in our culture.

In realizing this, technologies and innovations such as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and blended learning will be actively pursued. This will enable greater dynamism to and personalization of students’ learning experience. The Ministry will also encourage greater industry participation in teaching, research and commercialization levels, while harmonizing cooperative networks between public, private, and international higher learning institutions.

The new transformation in 10 Shifts in Higher Education which can bring Malaysia up from one point to new excellent level. Which means no one left behind.
